Our client, a global retail giant with a small but growing footprint in the Australian market, is looking to consolidate and modernise several their corporate and industry specific systems.  They have a strong local IT team with significant investment from their US headquarters.  The Technology Product Manager will work alongside a Project Manager and a Technology Lead to ensure the business gets their needs met from an IT perspective.  You will have a blend of Lead Business Analyst and Agile Product Owner skill-sets, including:
  • Experience driving the elicitation of business requirements in Agile (User Stories) and Waterfall (Business Requirements Document) formats.
  • Agile Product Owner expertise, working with the business to priorities their system and process needs.
  • Ideally leadership experience as you will have 2 dedicated internal Business Analysts underneath you.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement across technology and business stakeholders, as well as with external vendors.
  • Essential you have a very positive attitude and a collaborative working style.
  • Retail systems experience is a plus, but a more general, high-level, corporate systems understanding is fine.
  • The hiring manager has been with the organisation for some time and is upbeat and relaxed while determined and focused to delivery change that improves the working life of the organisation's employees as well as improving customer experience.
The salary is attractive, up to $170K base, plus short-, medium- and long-term incentives.  The offices are in Mascot and there are flexible work policies that typically land with a couple of days per week in the office. The offices are a short walk from Mascot station or there is onsite parking.
