A leading global bank is seeking a senior leader to join its Global Banking COO function as Director, Banking Change & Strategic Initiatives.
This high-impact role drives major transformation programs, workflow automation, process optimisation, and business governance across the Global Banking franchise.

You will operate at the intersection of Business, Technology, COO, Risk, and Sustainable Finance, shaping the strategic roadmap for Global Banking.

What You’ll Lead
  • Drive strategic initiatives across Global Banking—including lending transformation, workflow redesign, automation, and efficiency programs.
  • Partner with senior business heads to support revenue, productivity, and client experience goals.
  • Lead technology-enabled change across platforms and digital tools, leveraging Agile delivery and strong product ownership practices.
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories, requirements, and prioritized backlogs.
  • Simplify and enhance front-office processes while maintaining strong control and risk standards.
  • Oversee business management activities such as pipeline tracking, P&L insights, RWA/valuation monitoring, and senior reporting.
  • Strengthen governance and ensure alignment with regulatory and operational risk frameworks.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships across global stakeholders in Business, COO, Technology, Risk, Legal, Finance, and Operations.

What You Bring
  • 8+ years of experience in Corporate & Institutional Banking, Global Banking, or large-scale banking transformation roles.
  • Strong expertise in Product Ownership, Agile methodologies, and technology-driven change.
  • Experience supporting or leading tech initiatives in credit, lending, loans or bonds is advantageous.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and work across globally distributed teams.
  • Strong analytical, prioritization, and governance skills.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Product Owner / Agile certification preferred.
  • Master’s degree or relevant qualifications are a plus.
