Job Role
The Business Manager resides within the Global Partner Alliances team and interacts directly with the Technology Partners and many other teams: Sales/Account Managers, Global Engineering, Marketing, Business Development, Sales Operations, Professional Services and Consulting.

The Business Manager role will be based in Tokyo, Japan, and will support multiple technology partners and distributors in region, across go-to-market strategy for the global, international, service provider and regional accounts.

This person will work closely with the Sales and Global Engineering teams in order drive the awareness, enablement, growth, and profitability of the assigned partner's solutions. Detailed and timely communication is critical to the success of this role as well as the consistent execution of the responsibilities listed below.

Responsibilities
  • Liaison for Japan business, country management, global and sales operations teams
  • Develop partner eco-system positioning and go-to-market strategy in Japan and Asia Pacific
  • Manage and maintain partner onboarding and reseller agreements across multiple entities
  • Develop strategy on partner tiering, competency and certification programs
  • Development of local partnerships and distribution channels
  • Provide support for local delivery of product and services in Japan
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and internal operations
  • Coordinate with OEMs to register local opportunities and strengthen local partnerships
  • Coordinate with Distribution and Supply Chain Partners to deliver on customer requirements
  • Maintain good organizational skills to keep details and daily workload organized
  • Understand and communicate overall requirements & expectations of Partner (OKRs, KPIs, Metrics, Key Activities, etc.)
  • Operation team oversight in tracking measurable numbers (revenue, costs, budgets, payments, distribution etc.)

  • Partner Business Plan & Execution
  • Partner Field Sales Enablement
  • Strategic Account Planning
  • Channel Manager Relationship
  • Marketing Strategy & Brand Awareness
  • Platform Content & Go-to-Market Messaging

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or higher degree with minimum 10 years of sales or business experience within the technology field
  • Written and verbal business fluency in Japanese and English
  • Previous successful partner management experience with a Technology company or Technology channel partner company (strongly desired)
  • Strong Executive relationship building skills
  • Ability to directly impact and grow the technology business across the sales divisions
  • Strong organizational and communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
  • Strong program management skills with ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects/partners
  • Ability to work under uncertainty and incomplete data sets
