A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a technically strong senior regulatory reporting specialist to join a leading Australian bank.  I am seeking a motivated individual to work as part of a high perfoming team, ensuring the bank's regulatory reporting requirements are met and that systems and controls are continually developed to ensure timely and accurate reporting to APRA and other government agencies.      

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Focus on Credit Risk data regulatory reporting to APRA.
  • Manage regulatory deadlines to external regulators including APRA RBA and ABS.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvement
  • provide SME support through change projects.
  • Assist the Manager with Pillar 3 regulatory disclosures to the ASX
  • Assist the Manager with reporting to the Board and other committees
  • Collaborate, engage with and nurture working relationships with senior level stakeholders across the group
Key background requirements include:
  • CA / CPA qualified coupled with previous banking experience either in a regulatory reporting (APRA, RBA and ABS) or financial/statutory reporting role (Ideally seeking between 5 - 10 years of combined experience).
  • External audit experience viewed favourably (Audit Manager level and above) with exposure to regulatory and financial audits of banks and other financial institutions.
  • Strong technical skills including knowledge of Prudential Standards and/or knowledge of accounting standards.
  • A flair for identifying weaknesses and driving process change and automation.
