Our client is a market leading insurance company and employer of choice.  They are a household brand name and have a reputation as having one of the most progressive workplace cultures within the financial services market.

The group have exciting growth plans and as such have a newly created commercially focused role within their high performing decision support team.  Reporting into the Head of Decision Support the role you will focus on: 
  • Financial analysis and support of strategic initiatives, market analysis, competitor analysis.
  • Deliver relevant and key strategic commercial insights into financial information to assist decision making.
  • Provide financial modelling expertise across the Decision Support team
  • Implement and drive organisational benefit realisation process including identification, calculation and reporting
  • Play a leading role in the development of financial modelling capabilities within the finance team that will improve and deliver superior financial analysis and outcomes to the business.
  • Ability to prepare presentations for all levels of organisation; board, executives and senior leadership.
  • Contribute to the annual budget and operating plan.
  • Provide guidance across the business on various financial matters and strategic plans.
  • Continually improve systems, processes and procedures to effectively support the business unit operations and meet evolving business needs around financial analysis and insights.
This is a highly visible role within the business and will expose you to a wide range of senior stakeholders.

Required skills and experience:
  • Finance related qualification (CA/CPA/CFA/CIMA)
  • Proven skills and background in corporate finance or market analysis
  • Experience in organisational and project benefits identification, tracking and reporting
  • Strong financial modelling skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with senior stakeholders
  • Self-motivation with a high level of initiative
  • Demonstrated commitment to improve systems and processes
  • Insurance/Financial Services experience would be advantageous
