Located in Sydney, our client is looking to expand their Account and Finance team due to the rapid growth of their company.
This role would suite a motivated Accountant who is looking to take the next step in their career, with opportunities to develop leadership skills, build and manage external client relationships, and add value to a driven team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monthly maintenance and reconciliation of the company’s general ledger
  • Preparation of monthly Board and management reports including tracking financial performance with comparative trend reporting
  • A solid understanding of account principles, an analytical mind and great problem-solving skills
  • Preparation of compliance and statutory lodgements
  • Cashflow forecasting, expense management and daily reporting
  • Identify and work collaboratively to implement systems and process improvements
  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain a fixed asset register
  • Ensure compliance with tax and other government requirements
  • Be part of the accounts payable and receivable team
  • End of year audit preparation in conjunction with the Companies external auditor
  • Payroll & superannuation management and fortnightly processing
  • Excellent communication and self-management skills
  • Experience in communicating with a variety of clients with varying levels of accounting comprehension 
Experience & Skills
  • Experience in a similar hands-on Financial Accountants role
  • Experience with monthly/annual reporting preparation
  • Creation of comparative, analytical reporting
  • Managing cashflow forecasting
  • Evidence of being a motivated individual who can apply themselves and has the ability to problem solve
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Experience in preparation of BAS, Payroll and FBT lodgements
  • Experience managing and processing our company payroll.
