Program of Work:

This APS 220 Transformation Program is to update the bank's existing credit risk management frameworks as well as all associated systems, processes and documentations in line with APRA's revised APS 220 Prudential Standards effective of 1st Jan 2021.

The Credit SME role will play be responsible for managing and delivering further uplift of the Bank's compliance to the APS 220 Credit Risk Management standard. 


Credit Risk Management:
  • Stay abreast of change in Credit regulation and issues as and when they appear to ensure Credit risk is positioned and ready to cater for change.
  • Thought leadership on business credit process and policy improvement opportunities where needed with change delivery.
  • Provide timely, accurate, concise, high-quality guidance to front line and other business units in relation to APS 220.
  • Prepare and / or assist in any downstream reporting or updates to internal or external stakeholders in relation to APS 220 or accountable project delivery scope.
  • Contribute to Credit’s compliance with relevant Group and / or portfolio regulatory requirements.
Project Management and Delivery:

As the Product Owner for Credit within the program of work: The responsibilities of which include:
  • Key point of contact to provide Credit expertise and knowledge of APS 220 into project.
  • Accountable for decisions and direction of work within what has been delegated from Steering Committee.
  • Prioritisation of scope, budget and time based on known constrains.
  • Actively lead and engage project delivery team to ensure milestones are met on time and to a satisfactory level.
  • Remove issues and challenges that are escalated by the project in relation to delivery.
  • Contribute, review and signs-off project artefacts.
 
Skill Requirements:
  • 8+ years’ experience in Banking / Financial Services Industry with proven track record in a front-line Credit related role (Consumer or Business).
  • Knowledge of the legal, compliance and regulatory framework of commercial lending.
  • Proven ability in delivering strategic and operational plans to achieve excellent outcomes.
  • Proven skills in organising, project management, effective problem solving and decision making - working across teams and in partnership with the business.
  • Can operate with an agile and adaptable mentality and wouldn't hesitate to contribute across multiple programs / projects.
