The Role:
We are supporting a fast-growing, MAS-regulated digital payments company in appointing a Chief Legal Officer. This role will lead the organisation’s legal and regulatory strategy, ensuring compliance with the Payment Services Act, Securities & Futures Act, MAS guidelines, and data protection requirements. You will oversee all commercial contracting, manage legal and regulatory risks across digital payments and fintech products, and guide the business on AML/CFT, data privacy, and corporate governance matters. The role also partners closely with product, compliance, and senior leadership to provide practical, commercially aligned legal advice that supports ongoing growth and innovation. You will report into the CEO and build the legal function.

Requirements:
  • Qualified lawyer in Singapore or another common-law jurisdiction, min 15 PQE in Financial Services Fintech.
  • Strong experience in financial regulation, fintech, or payments.
  • Proven background in commercial contracting, Data Privacy governance, CMS License, SaaS and corporate governance.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
