The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Ethics and Compliance Counsel to join their team. In this pivotal role, you will review and interpret laws and regulations applicable to the group globally, including anti-bribery, anti-money laundering, data privacy, sanctions, export controls and antitrust laws. You will establish and implement robust compliance policies and procedures, ensuring the program remains current and effective. This includes proactively managing compliance risks, revising the compliance plan periodically, and providing strategic direction to the management team.
 
Requirements:
  • At least 10-15 years of post-qualification legal experience within a law firm and in-house, preferably in an MNC 
  • Hands-on experience in dealing with policies, clauses, training and handling other practical issues associated with anti-bribery/anti-corruption (FCPA/UKBA), sanctions, data privacy, competition law, and other core compliance frameworks.
  • The role demands excellent drafting skills, practical compliance solutions, and strong analytical abilities
  • Proactive team player attitude, capable of working independently and quickly understanding various businesses
