As a Software Engineer, you’ll work within a dedicated, multi-disciplinary product team delivering and maintaining customer focused products and solutions, applying an Agile delivery methodology within a DevOps culture-driven environment.

This role will see you implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving numerous products within a new platform.

You’ll work with multiple NSW Government agencies to deliver new, digitally uplifted experiences for both our customers and the regulators who serve them. The underlying platform leverages configuration, integration as well as SQL capabilities to improve customer and user experiences.

Essential skills: 

  • Extensive experience in leading and executing COTS based implementations of CRM or Case Management systems
  • Advanced experience with SQL queries, SQL programming (database procedures/functions), database development (Microsoft SQL Server critical; Oracle beneficial)
  • Experience in configuration, development and implementation of case management software (i.e. Salesforce, MS Dynamics, Siebel etc.) for regulatory requirements will be considered a strong asset
  • Advanced analysis, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills are essential
  • Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methodology while working with collaboration tools like JIRA, Confluence, Miro, and others
  • A good understanding of CI/CD methodology and working within a DevOps culture driven environment
  • Experience with Crystal Reports, Business Intelligence tools like Yellowfin BI is an advantage
  • Knowledge of software architecture patterns and practices such as MVC, MVVM, Asynchronous Programming, Stateless Programming
  • Review and creation of technical specifications, integration, and design artefacts
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and the desire to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent time management, prioritisation, and negotiation skills
  • Tertiary qualification(s) in a related field or equivalent industry experience
