The Role:
As a global leader in corporate and investment banking, our client provides a full suite of financial products and services to millions of consumer clients and corporate partners. Due to their expansion in Asia, they are now seeking to take on a mid-level Legal Counsel in the legal team covering IT and IP matters.

In your new role, you will:
  • Provide legal advice and pragmatic solutions to senior management and business teams in all kinds of technology-related transformation projects or initiatives across the APAC region
  • Support legal team in handling a broad range of corporate and commercial legal matters with a focus on intellectual property, trademarks, data protection, cybersecurity, software licensing, etc.
  • Draft, review and negotiate business contracts and legal documents, including but not limited to IT services agreements, outsourcing/ procurement contracts, and transaction agreements
  • Ensure compliance with new laws and regulations covering multiple jurisdictions
  • Identify, monitor, and manage legal risks arising from the Bank’s business operations by designing and developing legal and compliance framework, policies, and procedures


Requirements
  • Hong Kong qualified lawyer with around 4-6 PQE gained from international law firms
  • Experience in IT, IP, data privacy or banking and financial services related contracts
  • Excellent command of English and Chinse languages
