A market leader in the Manufacturing industry is seeking a GL Accounting Manager to join their fast-growing organisation in their Malaysia office.
 
This is a team management role, whereby you will be overseeing the full operations of Record-to-report (R2R) including month-end closing and preparation of reports. You are responsible for monthly/quarterly VAT/WHT reporting, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements; as well as preparation of intercompany billings and reconciliation. You will partner with other sub finance functions to ensure smoothness in finance operations, and participate in SOX-related aspects from time to time.
 
The ideal candidate should have a degree in Accountancy and Finance and be ACCA or CPA certified. A minimum of 8 years of relevant GL Shared Service experience, managing a team is preferred. You should come from a related industry and have change management or process improvement initiatives. Other than having excellent communication skills, you are able to work in a fast paced environment and scale an organisation to the next level.
