The Role:

Our client, a reputable international law firm, is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support the team. In this role, you will:
  • Provide finance and accounting operational support, including processing revenue transactions, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations
  • Respond to inquiries from fee earners and management by analysing financial information and providing timely solutions
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial statements by maintaining accounting records, preparing reconciliations, and reviewing management accounts
  • Report on the firm’s financial position by reviewing billing and collections data and communicating with the fee-earning team
  • Assist with statutory reporting requirements, such as tax filings and annual audits, to ensure adherence to policies and regulations
  • Contribute to projects, process improvements, and other initiatives as needed
Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent of experience in legal or professional industry
  • Strong knowledge of local statutory requirements
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin for internal & external communications and engagement
  • Candidates who are immediately available are highly preferred
