  • Leading bank, Singapore based, permanent headcount
  • Salary range: SGD200-240k annum base + attractive VB on top
  • Salary will commensurate with years of experience, Vice President level (at least 8-10 years of work experience, with management consulting background)
Responsibilities would include:
  • Part of the main corporate strategy team of the bank overseeing the entire group’s strategy (SEA coverage)
  • Support the growing portfolio of projects within the team, take charge of managing projects, teams and streams of work
  • Support engagements and work together with cross-functional business stakeholders / C-level to develop strategic plans, initiate important projects, deliver meaningful and high-impact strategic work
  • Develop a strategic point of view, formulation, execution and formalize strategy papers
  • Support transformation program delivery
  • Participate in key management committees
  • Involvement in strategic problem-solving, including developing and testing hypotheses, strategic analysis, developing conceptual frameworks, and conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses to identify new growth opportunities and execute the recommendations
  • Maintain responsibility for deliverables, timelines
  • Evaluate key industry movements in the relevant industry space and emerging trends and distill relevant implications to the firm
  • Recruit, mentor, and train juniors where necessary
Profile of ideal candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • 8-12 years of work experience, mandatory that some of which comes from management consulting
  • Open to candidates with: Management consulting experience (current &/or previous), done transformation &/or growth strategy work before, worked in strategy teams in other financial institutions
  • Open to all sector experience (FIG/ Financial Services project experience is a bonus), all generalists
  • Exceptional analytical and creative problem solving skills, good judgement
  • Strong stakeholder management; works well across various teams in the bank
  • Excellent written and verbal communication including C-suite presentation skills. Ability to articulate concepts and complex ideas in clear and impactful manner
  • Passionate about driving change. Having a curious mind to challenge status quo and provide innovative solutions and different perspectives
  • Intelligent self-starter with resilience and resourcefulness

  • Strong work ethics and excellent attitude
