Functional Role
  • Based on follow the sun support model, interfacing with Global TSC and GSOC in New York & London to support my client’s customers
  • Network Management – To monitor and troubleshoot networks using network management systems and tools.
  • Network Build – To install and maintain network equipment including; Cisco routers, Nokia routers, VoIP gateways and switches, BTI, Sagem optical platform as well as Sycamore DNXs.
  • Administration Duties – To maintain records, network schematics and databases.
  • Fault Management – Troubleshoot network faults and ensure customer networks are up and working.
  • Network Monitoring - ensure that customer networks are proactively monitored and customer trouble tickets resolved within service level targets
  • Required to support 1 weekend per week as per shift necessity, subject to schedule plan.
  • Availability to work early or late shift on weekdays anytime between 7am to 6pm
  • Call Out – To provide 24 hour call out support when required.
  • Developing and expanding IP network and capability in Asia Pacific region.
  • Deliver customer service excellence to customers at all times
 
Experience and Skills Requirements
  • University degree or equivalent Experience in Network Engineering with minimum 5 years’ experience in the Technology environment
  • Experience in Telecommunication field with extensive knowledge in a wide portfolio of technology and products across IP, SDH, and DWDM platforms.
  • Good working knowledge of Cisco (Minimum CCNP), Nokia (NRS), and DWDM optical based equipment.
  • Experience with IP networking MPLS, Layer 2 technology is required
  • Experience with Nokia routing network or SIP technology will be preferred
  • Knowledge of Financial Markets Data such as service feeds will be advantage
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to be key player working together with highly motivated team to support the business.
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor and team player. Role require to interact and working closely with colleagues, service provider and customer in support role of network circuit design.
  • Resourceful and good initiative in resolving complex issues relating to role support.
  • Absolute proactive approach to network design forethought and planning.
  • Excellent organizational skills and able to work independently.
  • Strong Knowledge of MS Office Suite, Power Point, Visio knowledge essential.
  • Oracle Metasolv experience desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through is required
  • Singaporeans and PR would be offered priority for this role
