This is a perfect opportunity for a Senior KYC/AML Analyst (or Manager) who wants to make a first step into people leadership and management for a business that heavily invests in its people - with mentorship, training and guidance provided in the role.
The role manages a team of 3 responsible for the CDD requirmenets of new customers - KYC, AML and CTF checks for individulas that want to send money around the world.
 

Responsibilities:

This role assists global client-handling teams by performing initial KYC onboarding assessments of new clients, ensuring smooth transition between online registration and full verification. In addition, the team provides ongoing due diligence support for existing clients.
 
Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Lead, manage and motivate the local Client Due Diligence team.
  • Recruit, train, coach and develop immediate reports ensuring team growth and succession.
  • Oversee individual performance for immediate reports.
  • Conduct regular/periodic quality reviews for the team /for direct reports.
  • Ensure workflows, coverage, reporting and escalations are appropriately managed.
  • Actively contribute to planning and continuous improvement of the global due diligence function.

Functional Responsibilities:
Due diligence
  • Perform initial client onboarding:
  1. Consumer Client types sourced across global jurisdictions. (Australia, New Zealand, US, UK, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore).
  2. Corporate Client types sourced across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong. Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, Associations, Charities, Government Entities, Co-operatives, Managed Funds and off shore entities
  • Act as back-up resource extending Corporate On-boarding coverage to Corporate clients sourced through global platforms (UK, US, Canada)
  • Assess and perform Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD), including AML/CTF checks /KYC analysis and client screening to ensure we fully understands our clients, their needs and payment flows.
  • Manage ongoing client due diligence activities, triggered by screening or monitoring outcomes as well as periodic refreshes of knowledge of our client base.
  • Review and approve alerts triggered via Client screening, Payment Screening and Fraud monitoring systems.
 
Role Requirements:
  • Over 3 years of experience in Client Due Diligence (CDD), ECDD and fulfilling AML/CTF requirements.
  • Previous exposure in managing a team preferably in a global company is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Understanding and involvement in due diligence on Institutional clients, Investment structures, Managed Funds and offshore accounts is highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of relevant AML/CTF regulations (Specially Australia and New Zealand
