Job Purpose/ Job Brief

  • Manage the Information Technology (IT) department which consists of application and infrastructure groups.
  • Pro-actively participates in the business planning process to define future automation requirements and leverages the use of existing and new technologies in responding to business needs and requirements.
  • Deliver high uptime, cost effective and secure IT infrastructure in support of the corporate business and manufacturing operations in accordance with ISO270001 standards.
  • Work closely with Automation & Systems (A&S) operations (hardware and software) that in charge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) as well as reviewing, evaluating and implementation of new IT systems and policies.
  • Guide, mentor, coach and develop the team members for their competency and effectiveness in achieving the set goals and targets.
  • Liaising with parent companies on best practices and system upgrades.


Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities
  • Defining and managing Department’s Management by Objectives (MBOs) and aligning to company’s Business Balance Scorecard (BBS)
  • Leading and managing the IT department, including hiring and training staff, setting performance objectives, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Manage departmental budget that are aligned with business priorities, support company’s Business Continuity Policy (BCP) and driving team to ensure business continuity in emergency.
  • Ensuring the security of the organization's technology assets, including networks, data, and software.
  • Overseeing the implementation of new technology solutions, such as software applications, hardware systems, and network infrastructure.
  • Manage overall IT system uptime, system stability and ensuring efficient operations of server and network Infrastructure.
  • Reviews and approves systems development life cycle project requests.
  • Coordinates schedules and related departmental activities to ensure projects are aligned with the company standards and IT strategy.
  • Drives team to ensure compliance to all internal or external audits
  • Manage team to drive continuous improvement projects relating to IT Security, Quality, Productivity and Cost.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures related to technology use, data management, and cybersecurity.
  • Staying up-to-date with new technologies and trends, and recommending new technology solutions as appropriate.
  • Provision, maintenance, improvement and support of internal and customer facing applications and Vendor / 3rd party management


POSITION SPECIFICATION

Education
  • Bachelor Degree or higher in the IT discipline or equivalent
  • MBA / Master’s Degree in IT will be an added advantage

Key Requirements
  • At least 13 years of IT experience in semiconductor environment or related industry with at least 10 years of leadership role
  • Familiar with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and setups such as PROMIS or ProCIM and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems – SAP
  • Experience in equipment automation
  • Experience in Cybersecurity
  • Strong in Infrastructure
  • Hands on experience in building and implementing Industrial 4.0 concepts such as Engineering Big Data advanced statistical analysis and machine learning, Robotics and robotics process automation.
  • Familiarity in manufacturing methodologies such as Lean or 6-sigma is a plus.
  • International Organization for Standardization (ISO27001) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) etc.

Functional / Technical Skills and Knowledge
  • Manufacturing CIM, Equipment Automation for Mobile Robots, RFID
  • ERP(SAP)
  • Oracle, Microsoft SQL Databases
  • Data Warehouse, Engineer Data Analytics
  • Programming languages such as C#, C++, Java, .Net.
  • Experience designing and developing professional software using Python, C#, C++, R, Linux to solve users’ problems using technical creativity and hard work.
  • An understanding of compliance and governance - ISO's, Data Protection, GDPR etc, Security, Cyber Security and Access Management.
  • CISSP (preferred), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) qualifications, Aruba Network and VMWare VCP5 are desirable.
  • In depth knowledge of IT infrastructure technology including servers, desktops, storage, networks, operating systems, platforms and configurations in particular VMWare, vSphere, Active Directory, SQL Server, Office 365, Windows Enterprise & Azure
