A major success story in the Australian Fintech sector, my client, due to continued growth across all areas of the business are seeking a high calibre individual to join the finance team and take ownership for the delivery of internal and external reporting for the Australian business as well as partnering with the CEO and broader business to provide meaningful commercial analysis and insights

Your key responsibilities will include:
    
  • Preparation of the monthly profit and loss, balance sheet reports and Cashflow forecast;
  • Preparing quarterly BAS, Company Tax Return, QTFN and Annual Investment Income Report;
  • Consolidation of financial reporting schedules as per the Head Office requirements 
  • Assisting with year-end audit, the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts;
  • Consult and develop technical papers in respect of new business initiatives 
  • Drive process and system change on an ad-hoc basis   
  • Coaching and development of junior team members

Key requirements for the role include:
  • CA / CPA qualified
  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on financial accounting experience
  • Experience gained in the Fintech, Financial Services or Technology sector is preferred with an understanding of how to operate effectively in a smaller less structured environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-motivated, enthusiasm and a positive attitude
