The Project Consultant leads the implementation of an improved front end project initiation and design process and framework for complex strategic initiatives. This includes improved up front definition of business benefits, solution options, success criteria and well defined preliminary business cases  and decision making.

The role works with Executives, Sponsors, business owners and project teams. It will also lead uplift of project skills in Business Analysis and Project Management.

Skills and Experience:
  • Extensive leadership experience in project initiation, direction setting and stakeholder alignment in large and complex environments with large project portfolios
  • Proven knowledge of project management frameworks, methodologies and delivery
  • Experience in articulate and cost economic and other benefits, funding process and business case assurance
  • Outstanding communication and facilitation of cross-functional teams including senior leaders to achieve specific outcomes
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving techniques
  • Solid background in end to projects/programs or as Business Analyst Lead/Practice Lead  - in particular in the pre-initiation phase
  • Tertiary qualified in business / finance or similar
