Fast-growing financial services consultancy has a burgeoning pipeline of work as well as a current, major piece of work that needs an accomplished Program Manager to take the reins. In this role, you will be:
Managing, planning and coordinating interrelated workstreams in a way that minimizes friction and emphasizes the delivery of value for teams, stakeholders, and organisations.
Managing and coordinating diverse, distributed and cross-functional teams to deliver effectively and efficiently
Defining communication strategy and leading communications to internal and external stakeholders to ensure people know what we are doing and why and how they can contribute.
Identifying and mitigating risk across the program and external to it to deliver on business outcomes. Looking beyond the immediate priorities of delivering a backlog to understanding risk as multiple backlogs come together and how change can be rolled out.
Strong financial management and understanding budgeting process, accrual accounting, Capex and Opex management to ensure ROI is delivered
Able to support the identification, definition and tracking of key performance metrics and understand how program activity can support this.
Manage client communication, stakeholder expectations, and generally all aspects of the relationship as it pertains to the program to C-level.
Contractual management: understanding and managing to the terms of the contract.
Able to build and effective team through recruitment, onboarding and building a strong and resilient culture
Additionally, Program Delivery Managers are consultants advising clients and supporting business development. This aspect of the role includes:
Delivery consulting: being at the forefront of best practises and advising our clients in the practical application of best practices and guiding them through process and organisation transformation.
Strategic planning and roadmap development for major technology transformations.
Business development: develop client relationships, identify opportunities and help shape and deliver pitches.
Skills & Knowledge
Strong Program and Project Management skills: planning, tracking, risk identification and mitigation.
Strong organisation and problem solving
People management.
Stakeholder management.
Agile development methodologies.
Understands operational structure
Working knowledge of typical financial flows and architecture.
Excellent communication skills: able to represent the team, project and firm in client situations, and similarly also be an advocate for the client.
Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience managing the implementation of financial services systems
Minimum 10 years of experience managing teams 5 – 12 people
Minimum 10 years of experience in IT Industry
Software development experience a plus
Education
Bachelor degree, ideally in Computing Science or related field
Finance education a plus
This is a permanent role with a salary package north of $200K for the right candidate with the right cultural fit, skills and experience.
