Our client is a private investment company which is now looking for an IT manager to oversee the IT operation for Singapore office which contains 30 members.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Team Management
  • Key contributor to prioritize and manage resource needs
  • Hire workforce; conduct performance reviews
  • Mentor/Coach staff and provide leadership
  • Manage contractors, as needed
  • Provide technical and collaborative project leadership thru collaboration with business partners and members of IT and ECI
  • Employee development, training, and mentoring
Product Management
  • Adhere to guidelines and frameworks laid out as part of the business and technology (B&T) operating model
  • Work closely with the business functional areas, technical teams and vendors in defining systems/project priorities, scope, approach, resource requirements and timing deliverables
  • Assess the risks of various solutions and prioritizes competing business demands
  • Partner with business on innovative ways to successfully utilize data and related tools to advance business objectives and create efficiencies.
  • Support product development through various phases of SDLC
  • Handle distribution of duties to developers and provide support and guidance
  • Create and maintain product documentation following B&T Operating Model standards
  • Manage Product Roadmap and backlog management
  • Conduct or facilitate training sessions for team members and business as needed
  • Ensure cross platform coordination
  • Keep abreast of latest system technologies and perform due diligence where appropriate on system enhancements and improvements
 
SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Broad IT domain experience in the following areas IT areas: Applications Development, Enterprise Architecture, Project Management, Business Process Management, Quality Assurance, Infrastructure, and Maintenance and Support
  • Ability to use strong leadership skills to translate business ideas into technology solutions
  • Highly skilled in change and stakeholder management; demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships and influence senior leadership.
  • Assign tasks, responsibilities, and drive accountability to project team members
  • Confident self-starter capable of setting plans and driving projects to completion
  • Problem solving skills, ability to dissect complex situations, ability to prioritize and execute
  • Process oriented and have experience with change control concepts and business analyst best practices.
  • Willingness and proven ability to roll up your sleeves and get hands on whenever necessary
  • Ability to recruit, build and manage product team (including contractors/vendor management)
  • Excellent facilitation, interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, including experience translating technical concepts and decisions to non-technical staff. Must be able to interact with all areas of business.
  • Collaborate with others; including business stakeholders, development managers, project managers, and QA teams.
  • Experience with recognized project management tools including Six Sigma DMAIC and Agile methodologies
  • Business Process Management experience a plus
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and a strong affinity for data and attention to detail
  • Experience with financial applications; including experience managing mission critical transactional and reporting applications.
  • Understand current trends and technologies and provides recommendations on appropriate tools to meet business needs
  • Ensure that organization has the capabilities and resources required to support new investments.
  • Drive work in line with the organization's mission, operations, structure, and goals; understand informal structures and processes of the organization; understand organization-level implications of his or her day-to-day decisions.
