Our client is a global leader in the Financial Services sector, experiencing rapid growth in the region and looking to hire a Head of Project Management Office (Infrastructure & Technology) role.
 
Job Description:
  • Establish a PMO with standards, best practices and routines to add structure to the team/function and influence others.
  • Establish goals and priorities for the function and drive priority programs and projects. This person will help prioritize the book of work, refine work streams, amplify the project with the power of the firm, connect with key stakeholders and communicate broadly.
  • Manage project teams for optimal return-on-investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives
  • Establish a world class tool kit to aid the PM team so that they can complete PMO reports, Status Report, Risk, Assumption, Issue and Dependency.
  • Analyse, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for management and stakeholders
  • Coach, mentor and motivate team members and influence them to focus on their key objectives and be accountable for their work.
  • Support the business through any new change demand and the project initiation process
 
Job Requirements:
  • 12 + years of experience in a program/project manager role, preferably in the Finance industry, or similarly fast-paced environment
  • Project and program management experience that includes successful delivery of large, complex, multi-market programs with experience, spanning both business processes and technology solutions
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); able to outline effective project plans and timelines
  • Ability to craft messages that clearly and succinctly communicate key messages for audiences at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to think strategically and produce out of the box ideas/solutions
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities (issue identification, problem structuring, analysis, development of actionable recommendations)
  • Must have the ability to work independently and be resourceful, but also drive collaboration among the team
  • Ability to build and leverage relationships with key business partners
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (Global and Virtual) to drive results, identify project dependencies and ensure requisite tasks/requests are completed in a timely manner
  • Collaboration and presentation tools (i.e SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience of working with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
  • PRINCE 2, PMP or equivalent professional qualification
