Our client a leading NSW Government Department are looking for a Financial Analyst to join their team on a 6 month contract with potential for extension.
The role involves assisting the Business Analysis & Finance team  in leading some of the key projects currently undertaken under the Sector Investment & Development division.
The main involvement of the resources will be in projects related to Property Management transfers and Future Support model for the providers ( High Costs Community Support Payments)

Some of the Key responsibilities include :

  •  Working closely with Cross Agencies and The Organisations finance team to undertake Key activities related to finance reconciliation processes for property management transfer project

  •  Develop Account reconciliation processes and key activities that can be used in the Property management transfers undertaken within the team.

  •  Completing the actual reconciliation summary for the each providers in property transfer project and working with key stakeholders to review any issues and resolving them immediately

  •  End to end responsible for undertaking the rates review for each provider at property level in collaboration with cross agencies and finalising for the purposes of final transfer.

  •  Assist the Project Finance Lead in undertaking any critical financial analysis as required within the project

  •  Any other analytical or reconciliation related work as direct by the Finance lead of the project

In order to be eligible for the role you will have :

  • Tertiary qualified and either working towards CPA or completed CPA

  • Strong numerical, verbal and communication skills

  • Self starter and ability to work with minimal

  • supervision

  • Ability to build good relationships

  • Ability to work and partner within AHO and also with cross agency stakeholders

  • Prior audit skills would be highly regarde

  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadline

  • Strong initiative and interested in challenging work

System skills

  •  Advanced excel required

  •  SAP Knowledge (Preferable)

  •  Trim (desirable)
