My client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a high performing individual to take responsibility for the delivery of Financial Control and Accounting support of the banks treasury controlled entities. The primary focus of the role is to manage the general ledger, reporting and analysis for these entities.

Your key responsibilities will include: 
  • Ensure accurate month-end close and timely delivery of all reporting requirements for month-end and other key reporting periods;
  • Review of balance sheet reconciliations to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and adequate internal controls are in place;
  • Manage processes to ensure the daily integrity and governance of the ledger for reporting and analytical requirements;
  • Review of financial statements for the bank and it's subsidiaries, including analysis and managing queries from management, Group, auditors and other stakeholders;
  • Review of half and full year reporting pack for submission to Group;
  • Drive process and system change on an ad-hoc basis;    

Suitable experience and qualifications include:
  • CA / CPA qualified
  • 5 + years experience gained in either the banking or financial services sector
  • Accounting experience gained in external audit, financial control or financial reporting
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong influencing skills
