Our client is a leading insurance company and employer of choice.  They are going through a period of sustained growth and to cater for this and future growth they are driving a major transformation and modernisation program within their finance function.  As part of this program they have a newly created permanent role which has been created to drive change through their financial control function. 

Reporting to the financial controller and with a dotted line to head of finance transformation you will focus on:
  • Providing guidance and strategic direction for the integration of the General Ledger, finance systems, design of month end and reporting in the new environment
  • Process re-design and automation
  • Re-platforming financial systems and re-designing how financial control operates
  • Implementing IFRS17 from financial control perspective
  • Accommodating financial control and reporting for new products to be launched
  • Enabling the integration of recent acquisitions into the financial control framework
This is a pivotal role within the finance team and will be highly visible.  As such you will deal with a range of finance, project and technology stakeholders and would provide an excellent platform for future career growth within this growing organisation.

Required skill and experience:
  • CA/CPA qualified finance professional operating at the manager or senior manager level
  • Deep knowledge of insurance accounting 
  • Will consider candidates from either BAU financial control manager or finance change/transformation backgrounds
  • Track record in implementing changes across and redesigning financial control processes
  • Exposure within large complex insurance environment
