This newly created Snr Cyber Security Consultant role exists within an organisation that are focused on operational excellence and customer experience, and are continually driving process improvement and technology innovation.

The organisation are experiencing a positive period of transformation and change around how security is managed and monitored across the organisation and now require an experienced Cyber Security Consultant to take a Lead role to work in an Application and Integration Platform team to be responsible for assessing the current landscape for security risks, develop proposals and then work with external vendors to implement security operational controls around Vulnerability Management, User Access Management, and Pen Testing.

You will work alongside the internal cyber team to understand best practice and implement appropriate cyber controls and then build out a Cyber Team of your own to enhance operational security and broader risk management capability.
What we’re looking for in you:
  • 3-5+ years in an IT / Cyber Security role, ideally focused on risk assessment and implementing. operational security controls around vulnerability management and user access management and penetration testing.
  • Technical knowledge of application and infrastructure vulnerability assessment tools.
  • Experience with SIEM tools, such as Splunk / Nagios / etc.....
  • Encryption and Authentication concepts or systems.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in complex and diverse technology environments.
  • Knowledge and commercial experience with industry standard security practices.
  • You keep up-to-date with industry trends and issues in cyber security and risk management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – ability to influence and consult.
  • Strong focus on the customer and business needs.
  • Willingness to step-up into a lead role and be able to engage and inspire a team of security engineers.
  • Tertiary Qualifications in related field – Desirable.
  • Industry Qualifications – Desirable.
