Responsibilities would include:
  • Independently develop and maintain financial models for various types of investment structures 
  • Screen and evaluate deals, develop investment proposals backed by performing market research, financial analysis and cash-flow modelling, investment feasibility
  • Lead deals through the entire process, spanning the preparation of internal approval papers, negotiation, structuring, documentation and closing
  • Support MD of Japan in sourcing, recommending and closing new deals, including due diligence and legal documentation
  • Assist in formulating, researching and preparing papers / presentation decks for new investment ideas and themes
  • Managing investments within an assigned portfolio. Monitor the performance of these portfolio investments against the market, budget and business plans, with the objective of driving performance to achieve investment targets
  • Drive business development and relationship-building efforts

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • Years of experience: 4-6 years (AVP) / 7-10 years (VP) of relevant experience in investment banking, public equities or/and private equity investments covering the Japan market
  • Some real estate sector experience and deal track record here preferred
  • Business or native level Japanese mandatory due to market coverage
  • Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
