An opportunity has come up with one of Singapore’s up and coming commodity firm within the energy space. We are looking for someone who has previous experience in the energy/LNG space as an asset, but welcome backgrounds from other commodities as well.

The ideal candidate would possess a bachelor’s degree in related field or have equivalent experience along with 5+ years of related work experience with a commodity firm. The candidate must have a CA or ACCA qualification and fluent in English/Mandarin to converse with stakeholders based mainly in Singapore and China. Strong consolidation experience is needed for this role.


Some responsibilities are listed below but not limited to:
  • Lead the team in the trade accounting, reconcile and analyse trade flows and Marked-to-Market (MTM) entries for the monthly closing;
  • Oversee all statutory financial statements, Management reporting, Marked-to-Market (MTM)/Trade Accounting including GST, WHT and annual tax filing;
  • Ensure quarterly group consolidation reporting to HQ, monthly financial reporting, analysis and forecasting are completed in time manner;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Trade Finance, Treasury, Operations, Traders etc) to manage and update forecast;
  • Work with senior management on cashflow management and projection; to ensure positive cash flow movement at entity and group levels;
  • Work with auditors, management, tax advisors, banks and counterparties as required;
  • Handle tax responsibilities and audit matters;
  • Enhance, simplify and improve existing processes;
