Position Summary / Project Description:
  • Lead a team to help set-up IT requirements for new acute hospital
  • To eventually lead the team when the hospital opens.
  • Enable adequate resourcing for increasing Cluster IT Governance.
  • Address HealthTech Transformation Programme (HTTP) proposal for the CIO office to undertake delivery role in addition to governance and oversight.
  • Strong technology planning/road mapping
  • Integration of legacy systems
  • You will need to innovate and recommend digital strategies – building a hospital for the future in 2030.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • To provide IT leadership in digital strategy and landscape planning for Acute Care which encompasses Acute Hospitals and Centres covering both Business as well as Clinical Systems. 
  • To drive the planning, development and seamless implementation of information technology in Acute Care. This includes overseeing the procurement and delivery of Business and Clinical solutions.
  • Aligning with the overall organization’s digital strategy to provide IT advisory and consultation on the technology integration for transformation and digitization of Acute Care operations. 
  • Work closely with different Acute Care stakeholders & partners in the design and implementation of a common data management framework to drive the seamless information flow to optimize care. 
  • Work closely with Acute Care business users in the development of business case and pre-assessment of IT solution for work plan prioritization and project delivery. 
  • To represent the organisation in cluster, institution and other committees or task forces to drive and support the organization’s cluster IT initiatives. 
  • To review and support Acute Care related work plan for solution review and project approvals. 
  • To lead, align and implement IT policies and processes in order to govern and manage IT systems within the organization to support Acute Care activities in the community and accountable for compliance to the cluster systems. 
  • To manage Acute Care related IT infrastructure and application portfolio including reviewing the overall lifecycle of applications and its supporting system software or infrastructure.
  • To manage Acute Care systems to ensure compliance to prevailing laws, policies and standards.
  • Align and work closely with Acute Care on matters related to Information Technology to support Acute Hospitals and Centres. 
  • Work closely with all relevant stakeholders on matters concerning Acute Care pertaining to strategy, implementation and operations.


Requirements / Qualifications:

Educational / Professional Qualifications:

  • Degree holder with IT related field preferred
