The Role
My client is a global medical device firm, and we are looking for an APAC Trade Compliance Manager in SG. This is a new headcount, and you will be overseeing their Trade Compliance policies for the business across Asia.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s global trade compliance program, including policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Act as the primary liaison with government agencies regarding import/export matters.
  • Classify products and technology for import/export using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), ECCN, and Schedule B codes.
  • Screen transactions and business partners for trade restrictions and embargoed countries.
  • Assist with Country of Origin determinations for imports, exports, and government contracts.
  • Manage free trade agreements and applicability.
 
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of Trade Compliance / Customs experience in a Manufacturing or Healthcare firm.
  • Strong global trade management experience – ideally with experience in Oracle
  • Experience across Asia, Africa, South America etc
  • Ability to liaise directly with regulators in the region
  • Ability to work independently and liaise with global stakeholders
