An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Consultant, SAP within a SG-based Utilities Group. We are seeking a highly experienced professional to lead the maintenance and enhancement of utility application systems. This pivotal role involves overseeing projects that ensure our systems operate at peak efficiency and effectiveness.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • System Maintenance & Enhancement: Direct the upkeep and improvement of utility application systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Project Implementation: Spearhead initiatives related to utility application systems, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  • Solution Architecture Development: Design and document comprehensive solution architectures that align with business needs.
  • Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders, particularly in the Finance & Billing department, to analyze business and technical requirements, translating them into actionable designs.
  • Procurement Management: Manage the procurement of ICT systems, software, and services, including drafting specifications and conducting evaluations.
  • Project Delivery Management: Oversee project delivery across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring all objectives are met.
  • Vendor Management: Cultivate vendor relationships in accordance with established standards and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to organizational policies throughout all project phases.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage with business users to discuss new approaches, prioritize enhancements, and explore upcoming projects.
 
Qualifications
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience as a system analyst or in system design and development within SAP environments, particularly with utility project implementation.
  • Strong understanding of billing and Business Support Systems (BSS) in utility or telecommunications sectors is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in engaging with cross-functional IT stakeholders; techno-functional consultants will be strongly considered.
  • Project management certification is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.
 
Technical Skillsets
  • Expertise in at least one SAP ISU module.
  • Strong background in SAP ABAP development.
  • Proficient in printing software (e.g., Exstream).
  • Knowledge of security protocols related to application systems.
