Company: Global financial services firm specialised in commodities, FX, fixed-income trading and risk management solutions.

Role Summary: We're on the lookout for an experienced Network Engineer with over 5 years in network ops, particularly in finance. The ideal candidate knows Palo Alto, Arista, and Cisco tech inside out and can work independently. This role lets you shape our global network infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Consult on network needs for various business lines.
  • Maintain the Marex Network.
  • Provide operational support for network issues in APAC and globally.
  • Design and implement new network requirements and changes.
  • Implement network security measures.
  • Procure equipment and manage vendors.
  • Report network status to stakeholders.
  • Be available for flexible hours and weekend work with overtime compensation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (FCA, NFA, AMF, AFM, MAS).
  • Adhere to operational risk framework and company values.
  • Serve as a role model for integrity and conduct.
  • Follow FCA’s/Marex’s Code of Conduct and internal policies.
  • Report policy breaches to Compliance or supervisor.
  • Immediately escalate risk events.
  • Provide input to risk management processes as needed.
 
Requirements:
  • Preferably CCNP certified or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Palo Alto, Arista, and Cisco technologies.
  • Proficient in MPLS, IPSEC VPN, SD-WAN, QoS, NAT.
  • Familiarity with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP routing.
  • Knowledge of NextGen firewalls, cloud networking (AWS, Azure), and troubleshooting.
  • Strong project management skills for fast-paced environments.
