The Role:
A Southeast Asian focused Projects firm is hiring an experienced senior Corporate Counsel to oversee corporate commercial matters in Indonesia. 
 
This critical role will act as the primary legal advisor, managing legal risks, regulatory compliance, and supporting complex commercial transactions. The successful candidate will have deep knowledge of Indonesian laws, particularly in areas such as foreign investment (BKPM/OSS), environmental regulations (AMDAL, KLHK), employment law, and zoning. Key responsibilities include drafting and negotiating contracts (e.g., JV shareholder agreements, EPC, procurement, land acquisition), handling disputes, ensuring corporate governance of PT PMA entities, and liaising with government authorities. 
 
Requirements:
  • Hold a law degree (S.H.) from a reputable university, be a licensed advocate (Peradi preferred), and have a minimum of 10 years’ legal experience, including at least 5 years inhouse in a large corporate
  • Strong exposure to commercial matters in either the industrial, chemical, energy, or infrastructure sectors
  • In-depth knowledge of Indonesian regulatory landscape, including BKPM/OSS, AMDAL, KLHK, employment and zoning laws
  • A commercially-minded lawyer who’s confident handling complex negotiations and high-value transactions.
  • Strong communicator and stakeholder manager, able to build trust across all levels of the business.
