The Role:

Our client, a Global Asset Manager, is recruiting a Deputy General Counsel in APAC to advise the firm’s investment professionals on M&A & disposals and structuring of deals.
 
This is a newly created role, part of a team, reporting to the APAC General Counsel. You will be the subject matter expert in sponsor-side M&A transactions for South Asia.
 
Requirements:
  • Degree in Law with at least 10-15 years' PQE; training at an international law firm in M&A PE practice
  • Strong M&A execution experience to closing deals and South Asia market domain knowledge
  • Experience representing PE sponsors, with an aptitude for high-level risk management and problem-solving
  • Strong communication skills and analytical skills; show ability to work collaboratively with colleagues globally
  • Ability to multitask, showing intellectual capacity to work well in a fast-paced environment
