We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join a young and dynamic team for one of the industry's leading organisation.

The current IT team have been together for 3 years and are looking to add an additional full time QA Engineer in delivering premium software products and solutions to meet the business's needs. Not only will you be helping to improve the current software functions, you will closely involved with helping the business make strategic decisions during a consistent period of growth.

One of the most important characteristics for this role is the ability to work in a close knitted team, be approachable and feel comfortable to get involved with strategy sessions with the business's stakeholders. The company have a flat structure and appreciate the input of all members within the company so collaboration is key.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with stakeholders (product management, development, systems administration, and operations team) to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts
  • Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyse results
  • Perform thorough regression testing when: bugs are resolved, new features are implemented
  • Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
  • Provide internal/external support regarding systems queries and issue resolution
Required Skills:
  • 4+ years working as a QA Engineer, with extensive experience in a software development and software quality assurance capacity including good knowledge with processes and tools
  • Experience writing clear test pans and test cases
  • Hands on experience with automated testing tools
  • Good knowledge working on MS SQL, including scripting knowledge and exposure to the .NET Framework
  • Experience in performance or security testing is highly regarded
  • Ability to work in a close knitted team and the ability to collaborate.
This is a full time role based in North Sydney. Working remotely is on offer but there is an expectation to working in the office one day a week at some point this year.
