Due to an internal restructure the need for a Head of Risk and Internal Audit position has become vacant. You will report directly to the CEO and the Audit & Risk Committee (ARC) and will hold a hands-on internal audit position with some operational risk duties. The company is a large complex group and a renown Government Agency.
 
The Person:

It is essential that the ideal candidate would have gained  8+ years experience in audit in either the Government, Commercial or Professional Services sectors. In addition you will have;
 
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Analysing and identifying ongoing audit matters;
  • Reporting on audit matters to senior management;
  • Execute the strategic and detailed audit plan;
  • Prepare and execute risk/control assessments;
  • Assist in the prepare and execute audit reports;
  • Lead and supervise a team and engage with a co-source model;
  • Attend audit committee and board meetings;
  • Assist in special project activity.

Your background:
  • Degree qualified with either a CA / ACCA / CPA / CIA / CISA or other;
  • At least 8 years internal audit or operational risk experience;
  • Have a “can do” attitude with healthy ambition;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Have gained recent Australian experience.
  • Must hold Australian PR.


The ideal candidate will display strong time management and influencing skills. You will have a proven track record in writing Internal Audit reports and be able to articulate and identify key risks.
