Our client is a leading global financial services group, household name and leader in their field. They have an exceptional culture within their finance team and some exciting growth and transformation happening.  They have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced investment accountant. Reporting into the head of investment and regulatory reporting you will focus on:

  • Effective and accurate maintenance of current investment accounting process under existing Financial Instruments accounting standard (IAS 39), new Financial Instruments accounting standard (IFRS 9) as well as equivalent local GAAPs, including streamlining and improving existing process to meet all group and local reporting requirements,
  • Enforcing daily and monthly reconciliation controls, analyse and challenge information received from various stakeholders to support the early identification and resolution of issues,
  • Implement robust reconciliation controls, month-end closing procedures and review process on the investment results/reports 
  • Responsible for the preparation of key investment disclosures in year end local and group annual Financial statements,
  • Responsible for the customisation, User Acceptance Testing and implementation of the investment accounting process 
  • Responsible for the analysis and commentary of investment performance results under multiple reporting standards,
  • Collaboration with various teams to deliver the parallel run under both the existing and new Financial instruments accounting standards until July 202
