Role Summary:

We're looking for motivated Commercial Bankers / Credit Analysts with a few years of banking experience in Australia, who are aspirant to take their career to the next level as a Relationship Manager in Corporate Banking (wholesale). This is an exciting opportunity to join one of top foreign banks in Australia who is now looking to grow their footprints in Victoria!

Your Responsibilities:

  • Proactively take ownership of a diversified portfolio of corporate and institutional clients (both domestic and international), understand their financial situation and borrowing appetite.
  • Originate new credit proposals and restructure existing loans when required to optimise portfolio performance.
  • Collate the required credit and financial analysis as per the Bank's policies and procedures.
  • Research targeted industries and keep abreast with the changes and implications in their regulatory environments.
  • Perform preliminary KYC and draft credit proposals to be submitted to the Credit Risk department, ensuring the Bank's Credit Policy & Procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Maintain post-settlement relationships with clients, monitor their financial situation and identify any potential defaults.
  • Research industry and market conditions, attend networking events for brand marketing when necessary.
  • Periodically report and feed back to the management teams.

The Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years in a Business Development or Relationship Management function, preferably in Financial Services.
  • Good understanding of lending products, credit structuring and financial analysis skills.
  • Basic knowledge of AMLCTF & KYC rules applicable to large corporate investments, and relevant regulations (ie. APRA, AUSTRAC, ASIC, AFCA, ACCC).
  • Strong client marketing and commercial negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated capability to operate autonomously in a broad function with integrity and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Industry knowledge of Infrastructure/PPP, Energy & Utilities, Pharmaceutical, Mining or Property is desirable.
  • Mandarin speaking and writing skills are essential.
