Company: Global financial services firm specialised in commodities, FX, fixed-income trading and risk management solutions.
 
Role Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our Hong Kong team. This position requires expertise in both on-premise and cloud technologies to develop, enhance, and maintain our infrastructure systems. You will work with a global IT team across Asia, Europe, and North America to ensure consistent monitoring and maintenance, ensuring maximum uptime and service quality.
 
Main Responsibilities:
  • Proactively monitor infrastructure systems and services to identify and resolve issues.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex infrastructure problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Global IT team, offering support and guidance on routine activities.
  • Engage in daily support and maintenance tasks to maintain system integrity and performance.
  • Support the implementation of infrastructure projects within the APAC region.
  • Use Jira for time logging and task management.
  • Follow change control procedures for production environment modifications.
  • Be available on weekends for essential infrastructure changes as needed.
  • Train and support the Service Desk in adopting new technologies for business purposes.
 
Requirements:
  • 10+ years experience in  IT Infrastructure
  • Experience in financial services firms will be a bonus
  • Skilled in troubleshooting Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft domain services (AD, DNS, DHCP, DFS, PKI).
  • Experience in troubleshooting Citrix, SFTP, and file sharing services.
  • Strong familiarity with VMware, EMC, and NetApp technologies.
  • Proficient with the Office 365 platform (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Understanding of IaaS on Azure and AWS, including networking, compute, and storage.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to understand complex business needs.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and educate team members.
  • Able to perform well under pressure, self-motivated, and eager to implement changes.
