Ou client is a multi-award winning employer of choice with offices around the globe and without doubt the leader in their field.  Due to an international transfer they have a role within their Sydney office for a talented and ambitious qualified accountant to join their group finance team in a technically challenging role.  

Reporting into the financial controller and working within a close knit and stable team you will focus on then following: 
  • Provide accurate, timely month-end and close process including journal preparation, balance sheet and revenue reconciliations and oversight;
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles with ability to explain accounting concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Manage internal process and control documentation including liaising with global team and wider business
  • Preparation of statutory accounts in compliance generally accepted accounting principles with an ability to consider changes in accounting standards and their impact on financial statements
  • Preparation of audit and compliance information to resolve queries
  • Assistance with technical accounting reviews, including forming and documenting accounting positions;
  • Assistance with acquisition accounting and integration activities;
  • Assisting the Financial Controller with accounting/tax project work as required.

This role would suit a first mover from Big 4, top 10 or mid tier chartered firm or a financial, statutory or group accountant from a blue chip organisation looking for a superb company culture and challenging role
