Overview
We are seeking a skilled Domain Data Analyst to bridge the gap between data analysis and business needs, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data used across the organization. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives at the intersection of analytics, business strategy, and data governance within a financial domain.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis
  • Lead and deliver a portfolio of data products, including dashboards, reports, predictive models, and data models.
  • Analyze and interpret complex, domain-specific data sets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that drive informed business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and implement effective data solutions.
  • Prepare, cleanse, and validate data to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability for analytical and reporting purposes.
  • Document system data flows, data model transformations, and data architectures.
  • Develop and maintain technical data dictionaries and manage data access controls.
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Business Analysis
  • Partner with business units to understand their data needs and deliver solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather and refine requirements.
  • Support project management activities by providing domain expertise and data-driven insights.

Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with technology and business teams to ensure seamless data flow, accessibility, and integration.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on best practices, tools, and methodologies.
  • Effectively communicate complex data concepts to stakeholders across various functions.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the financial services domain.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, and experience with Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with data analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) and ETL/data warehousing processes.
  • Solid understanding of data modelling techniques, data governance, and quality frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data quality and accuracy.

Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with product management methodologies and agile development practices.
  • Experience with Collibra or other data governance tools.
  • Understanding of data stewardship principles and data governance frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Regulatory Reporting, Risk Management, or Capital/Profitability Management.
  • Professional certifications such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) are an advantage.
