The Role:
Our client is a global market leader that has established its footprint across more than fifty countries in the world. To support their post-Covid expansion in Asia, they are seeking a senior in-house lawyer with solid management experience to oversee the Regional Compliance department.

In your new role, you will
  • Drive compliance projects within the region and globally to ensure a sustainable corporate environment pertaining to areas such as Anti-Bribery, Competitions, Sanctions, Ethical Promotion, as well as other Regulatory Compliance practices
  • Identify, analyse and manage compliance risk for all markets in daily operations
  • Keep abreast of regulatory updates, advise the management on potential regulatory impact, and provide pragmatic solutions accordingly
  • Design and implement compliance reviews on a regular basis; conduct training to share the best practices with different Group business teams
  • Coordinate with regulators on inquiries and investigations and work with business stakeholders to resolve gaps and deficiencies

Requirements:
  • Qualified lawyer in Hong Kong or other major common law jurisdictions
  • Minimum 15 years of PQE with relevant experience in listed company
  • Sound knowledge and work experience in listing rules and general corporate compliance
  • Competency to work in a multicultural organisation; Experience in managing a team
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
