Amazing PERM opportunity has come up for the right candidate.. OUR client is looking fir a Corporate Accountant to join their vibrant Finance Team and start their career in the Entertainment world. 

Based in our stunning city of Sydney with a competitive Salary. 

Key Accountabilities
  • Accounting for the Corporate entities including processing of monthly transactions, calculation of internal recharges, maintenance of the general ledger, bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations, reconciliation of loan accounts, along with detailed profit and loss review and analysis.
  • Monthly reporting for the Corporate Group including month-end board reporting, along with delivery of departmental cost centre reports and analysis, and capital expenditure reporting.
  • IT reporting – management and analysis of Actual, Budget and Forecast expenditure relating to the Group’s IT related operating and capital expenditure. (focus area)
  • Environment and Community reporting – management and analysis of Actual, Budget and Forecast expenditure and performance relating to the Group’s Environmental and Community initiatives. (focus area)
  • Procurement – management and analysis of Actual, Budget and Forecast expenditure relating to the Group’s Procurement functions. (focus area)
  • Preparation of the statutory half-year and year-end reporting packs for the Corporate entities for consolidation with the Group. Liaising with the external Auditors as required.
  • Preparation of income tax and FBT returns for the Corporate group.
  • Review of the month-end for shared services and Flexipurchase transactions.
  • Assist with treasury administration and shared services (Accounts Payable).
  • Assistance with management of the Group’s AASB 16 Leases requirements.
  • Associated and ad-hoc tasks and reports for the Director of Finance, Company Secretary, GM Asset Management & Business Services, and the Group Taxation Manager.

KPI’s

  • Maintenance of accurate accounting and financial records relating to the corporate entities, including management, statutory and taxation-related requirements .
  • Detailed and timely financial reports and analysis that adds value to the end users (focus areas of IT, Environment and Community, Procurement and key corporate cost areas).
  • Providing effective support and back-up to the Group Accounting Manager.
  • Effective communication with key stakeholders and recipients of corporate information.
  • Completing ad hoc tasks and reports for the Director of Finance, Company Secretary, Group Accounting Manager, GM Asset Management & Business Services and the Group Taxation Manager. Skills & Experience These are the desired skills and experience for this role:
  • CA/CPA qualified (or working towards).
  • Prior experience, including financial and management accounting preparation, taxation and business analysis and reporting.
  • Good systems orientation with hands on experience with a major accounting system (experience with SUN Systems will be highly regarded).
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, problem solving and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Business Partner mentality and able to establish and sustain close working relationships across the business internally and externally.
  • Focus on continuous improvements.
