Our client, a leading NSW Government Department, are looking for a Communications Manager to join their team on an initial 12-month contract that will be rolling.

Primary purpose of the role: Develop and manage delivery of the internal and external communications strategy and related projects. Align the strategies to the wider portfolio of projects and the broader communications strategy and principle. Work closely with the program management and delivery teams, change and project managers, enterprise communications and subject matter experts to proactively manage communications to internal and external stakeholders through developing key messages and narrative, creating and delivering content and collateral. Integrate with Corporate Affairs to help ensure strategic messaging and channel alignment.

Key accountabilities:
• Effectively deliver strategic communications, including providing consistent messaging, positioning, branding and engagement, that enhance their reputation amongst relevant stakeholders and customer groups in line with the wider corporate affairs strategy
• Ensure all communications are aligned, sequenced and integrated
• Engage with subject matter experts and senior leadership team across the business to provide expert advice on communications and stakeholder engagement strategy
• Develop timely communication recommendations to incorporate the perspectives of multiple stakeholders and consider the broader context

Essential requirements:
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience in relevant areas.
• Demonstrated experience developing internal and external focused communications strategies and products
