  • Open to candidates from commodity finance middle/ back office in analysis/ research/ credit/ lending mid office/ trade ops who is keen to move up frontline
Responsibilities would include:
  • Interact and work closely with the research & analysis teams globally to be the first line of defense in risk co-managing relationships, including regular dialogues with the Credit Research Department (CRSD) in Singapore to harmonize the risk and credit matrix across sectors, countries and commodities
  • Propose internal Credit / Risk approach and benchmarking on segments and clients
  • Accompany RMs and product managers on client visits, business calls, business presentations, share insights and research
  • Build and maintain STCF relationships
  • Build credible and trusting relationships with Credit Department-Asia Pacific, including actively participating in both formal and informal dialogues with the working teams before deals are formally presented for approvals, including quarterly / annual review of accounts & facilities
  • Monitor regulatory capital for proposed deals and audit existing deals
  • Co-work with KYC, Compliance and Planning teams for commodity clients
Profile of Ideal Candidate:
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • Strong understanding of Commodity trade finance / Structured trade space (Preferably someone from mid or back office in analysis/ research/ credit/ lending mid office/ trade ops who is keen to move up frontline would be ideal)
  • Minimum 5-10years of relevant working experience in an established financial institution preferably  
  • Strong work ethics and excellent attitude
  • Articulate and confident, comfortable enough to meet clients with RMs
  • Analytical and numerate with basic accounting and finance knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal skills
