A major success story in the Australian Fintech sector, my client, due to continued growth across all areas of the business is seeking a high calibre Assistant Financial Accountant to join the finance team.


Your key responsibilities will include:    
  • Daily process of payments and perform daily reconciliations of clients deposits and withdrawals against bank accounts ensuring accuracy in financial records;
  • Assist with the preparation of the monthly profit and loss, balance sheet reports and cash-flow forecast;
  • Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of year end consolidated financial statements;
  • Assisting with year-end audit;
  • Assist with process and system change on an ad-hoc basis   

Key requirements for the role include:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications. CA/CPA - currently studying or plans to commence studies
  • 2+ years accounting experience ideally gaind in an Assistant Accountant or Graduate Accountant role
  • Industry experience - Financial Services will be highly regarded
  • Role is also suited to individuals currently working in a mid tier CA firm (Business Services preferred) who are looking to make their first move into a commercial accounting role;
  • High attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Self-motivated, enthusiasm and a positive attitude;
