The Company:

Our client is one of the biggest players globally within the sector that has over a century of industry knowledge and expertise in the financial market. They have set ambitious growth targets for the next five years, and by joining this business, you will contribute to the organization’s strategic focus and make a significant impact. They are now seeking a mid-level Structured Finance Lawyer to join their Global Transaction Legal Team. This role is mainly based in Hong Kong but you can work remotely most of the time.
 
In your new role, you will
 
  • Provide legal advice and support for industry-related complex transactions in the APAC region and globally
  • Review, draft and negotiate contracts, transaction agreements, and legal documents through all phases of deals from structuring to execution
  • Conduct legal and regulatory due diligence on transactions and advise on applicable laws and regulations
  • Strengthen transactional knowledge management and develop best practice guides, templates, and standards to ensure compliance
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams and external counsels in facilitating new projects and initiatives, as well as monitoring legal trends affecting the business areas

 
Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer with 5-10 years of PQE from a reputable law firm or financial services company
  • Thorough understanding of structured products or finance transactions
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Fluency in both English and Chinese for internal & external communications and engagement
