The Role:

We are partnering with a global financial institution to appoint a seasoned Legal Counsel who will support the Head of Legal in providing comprehensive legal and regulatory advisory across the organisation’s expanding international operations. 

This role sits within a high-performing legal team and will be instrumental in advising on a wide spectrum of matters related to fund administration, investor services, banking, custody, regulatory reporting, and corporate secretarial functions. You will provide hands-on support in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of commercial and regulatory documents, while ensuring business stakeholders clearly understand associated risks and obligations. The position also involves managing external counsel when needed, supporting new business initiatives, contributing to internal governance committees, and maintaining legal precedents in line with market and regulatory developments.

Requirements:
  • Qualified lawyer with 7–10 years of post-qualification experience, admitted in England & Wales or New York.
  • Prior in-house experience within banking, fund management, or fund services.
  • Strong capability in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and regulatory agreements.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders and support cross-functional initiatives.
