This is a newly created position due to the business growth. You will report directly to the Head of Internal Audit and you will be part of an impressive Head Office and will manage the full end to end executing of the SOX / Internal Audit plan. This group is currently undergoing multiple acquisitions and the ideal candidate will want to work in a progressive, forward thinking environment. Some duties will be:
 
SOX compliance - documentation, identification and testing of key internal controls over financial reporting, determination and remediation of weaknesses, external auditor coordination, and all appropriate communication.
Executing audits in accordance with the annual IAP, which includes planning the audit, develop testing programs, performing audit test work, supervising other team members when necessary, develop recommendations for improvements for control weaknesses and the preparation of internal audit reports.
Provide appropriate training / awareness and communications associated with SOX, internal controls, procedures, policies and associated requirements to the broader business.
Identify areas for continuous improvements and innovation while working with the businesses to streamline controls and embed them within the local processes to ensure maximum efficiency and ongoing compliance.
 
The ideal candidate will:
  • Be CPA / CA / ACCA / CIA or CISA certified or part qualified.
  • You will have gained recent experience in Sarbanes Oxley OR JSOX compliance.
  • Big 4 or 2nd Tier Chartered candidates with 2-3 years experience with some SOX exposure will by ideal for this position.
  • Alternatively you will be an experienced Internal Auditor with SOX audit exposure in the past.
  • Strong communication skills required, both verbal and written.
  • Ability for critical thinking, think outside the box and innovative with the ability to work in a fast growing and changing culture.
