As part of a major initiative to refresh and realign the application environment across a large enterprise organisation, we're looking to engage a Senior Solution Architect to take a lead technical role to help provide and approve solution architecture for two new digital and data focused projects.

The role partners with a newly established project team to ensure effective delivery of enterprise wide technology solutions, including the set-up and integration of COTS, SaaS, PaaS solutions and applications, as well as the engagement with an external partner in the delivery of a new data analytics platform.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the solution architecture.
  • Define and design technology solutions.
  • Be a primary point of contact for all solution design and implementation risks/issues and ensure project teams are on the right track for implementing, testing and deploying the recommended and approved solutions.
  • Develop cost and benefit analysis for recommended solutions and assist in developing quality business cases and other commercial documents required as part of project deliverables.
  • Provide solution design documents defining and describing the business solutions architecture and relative methodologies and activities required for its maintenance and support.
  • Engage relevant stakeholders, understand business problems and align technology solutions ensuring business and technology risks are mitigated.
What we're looking for:
  • Previous experience developing solutions architecture, business and systems requirements, and technical design and analysis.
  • Experience working on digital transformation projects, ideally with exposure working with Data and Information Management solutions.
  • Excellent understanding of information and technology architecture concepts, including experience in applications development, data and information architecture.
  • Exposure to working in an Agile / Scrum environment desirable.
  • Experience working in the infrastructure, construction services, engineering, property industry is highly desirable.
  • Experience and knowledge of industry standard development methodologies, tools, and techniques, including knowledge of IT service principles and frameworks, including ITIL.
  • Ability to lead solution design discussions with external vendors / partners.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
